MERV 8 FILTERS

Air Filters Inc. MERV 8 pleated air filter utilizes electrostatically charged, 100% synthetic media which offers significantly higher particulate efficiency than regular poly/cotton media pleated filters, with little change in static pressure. MERV 8 filter media will not promote the growth of bacteria, mold, mildew, or fungi in normal operating environments, and has not been chemically treated. Air Filter's Inc. MERV 8 pleated filters are an ideal upgrade from standard disposable panel filters. These filters are designed to last up to 3 months.

CONSTRUCTION

All Standard Commercial and Industrial Astro-Pleated air filters use the optimum blend of synthetic fibers to insure high dust holding capacity and filtering efficiency. The media is thermally glued to metal backing to prevent the media from sagging during the filter's use. The pleats are formed in a radial configuration to insure proper dust loading. The pleated cartridge is encapsulated in a heavy duty die cut beverage board frame to insure filter integrity in high moisture applications. The pleated filter cartridge is glued to the peripheral interior of the outer frame with a vinyl adhesive, preventing air by-pass. The face of the die cut is internally glued to the apexes of the pleats to insure maximum endurance under adverse conditions.

ABOUT FILTERS AND MERV RATINGS

MERV RATINGS (Minimum Efficiency Reporting Value) are used by the HVAC (Heating, Ventilating and Air Conditioning) industry to describe a filter's ability to remove particulates from the air. A higher MERV rating means better filtration and greater performance (download chart in PDF format). Air Filter's Inc. now provides both MERV 8 and MERV 11 HVAC air filters.

APPLICATIONS...

Air Filters Inc. full line of pleated air filters is used in a broad range of installations, from pre-filters for higher efficiency air filters to primary filters for computer room units. Astro-Pleat filters offer longer life and higher dust holding capacities, and have been successfully used in upgrading from lower efficiency filters.
