How to Change your AC/Furnace Filter(s) - A Step-by-Step Guide:
- Make sure you have the correct size replacement filter.
- Not sure? Most air filters have the size printed on the outside of the frame, so check to see what size filter is currently in your air return.

- Turn your air conditioning unit completely off. This helps prevent any loose dirt and debris from being sucked back into the a/c unit, which can cause potential equipment damage and cause contaminates to recirculate.
- Can’t find the on/off switch on the thermostat? Locate your breaker box and switch off power from there.
- Open you air return grill, remove your old filter and dispose of it. We recommend placing the old filter in an empty trash bag to help contain contaminants.
- Insert new filter. Make sure that arrow points away from the return and toward the air handler.
- Close air return grill and lock back into place.
- Sit back, relax, and breathe in quality air and enjoy lower electricity costs.
